arisia?Who is going to |
I have a room reserved but I can't afford it. Would you like to either room with me or take my room (in exchange for letting me use it to shower and nap so I don't get caught in the lobby)
And who is coming up from New York? Is anyone driving with space in their car? I know the Chinese buses are only $30 round trip with only a few bad reviews, but I think I still want to spring for a share of gas money instead.
Either way, I am a guest so I have to go. Well I don't. I can cancel at the last minute, but good luck ever getting a guest spot again.

For anyone attending the upcoming arisia science fiction convention in Cambridge, MA: We're planning Kabbalat Shabbat services (egalitarian) and kosher potluck Shabbat dinner (fleishigs). Exact times are still to be finalized. We'll post flyers at-con about the service, but potluck dinner requires more advance planning, so.
My post about this is friendslocked/filtered, but if you are interested in participating in either, please contact me regarding services (comment to this post is fine) and either me or vettecat regarding dinner. :-)

My brother is interested in joining your room, and Jenny might be too.
Please email me, I'm not using LJ very much ATM.
I doubt we'll be driving, since parking is tough and public transit is easy there, but I'll count you in if that changes.
What's your email address. I tried using the nightstalker-at-livejournal one but it came back.
1) Keep your room -- don't go with the overflow hotel. It's w/in the eruv
and isn't a far walk, but it's nicer to be @ the main hotel for this one. Looks like you're all set w/finding folk to share anyway. yay!
2) Do you have lunch covered? In any case, I tend to wander around with a giant package of defrosted pre-cook edamame and kiddush-motzi
regardless of my own lunch situation. (I'll be the one throwing edamame at you...)
looking forward...edited to add the www...Edited at 2008-01-10 03:34 am (UTC)
Are you interested in joining the Friday night dinner?
Thanks for checking!
I'd made plans for a repeat of last year's Shabbat meals months ago, but may stop by dinner
to hang out... (marlowe1
-- this dinner is your chance to not weird people out by taking about killer robots and zombies at a shabbat meal -- plus, they are good folk...)
Are you kidding? It's the one time i get to talk about killer robots and zombies at a shabbos meal where it's normal discourse. Otherwise it's all investment banking and "so you're a convert, huh? That's really interesting...did you know about the noachide laws"
